Update 17.50 for Fortnite is here and it features the new Wild Week variation: High Tech Hijinks. Along with that, there has also been a complete redesign of the playlist screen, making it a lot easier for you to keep track of the game modes that you love. This is going to be the last update before Season 8.
Update 17.21 for Fortnite is here, and while it may not be groundbreaking, it’s paving the way for a few new events that just might be. One of the most notable things about this update is that it’s setting the stage for the upcoming Ariana Grande concert that has been leaked over the course of the past few weeks.
Fortnite has seen a relatively small update as its most recent one, but it has still added some interesting things to the battle royale. For example, the game now features alien nanites that you’ll be able to use to upgrade your weapons dramatically. You can also go and see Holly Hatchery, which is the changed version of Holly Hedges.
Epic Games is clearly gearing up for some major changes with the release of Season 7 of Fortnite, but for now, we’re at the end of Season 6. The latest update has increased the size of islands by a huge amount but it has also unvaulted the dual pistols, which some of you may have been missing.
Believe it or not, there was a time when Fortnite wasn’t the biggest game in the world. It may seem like it was a long time ago, but in reality, it was only about four years ago. Love it or hate it, Epic Games’ take on the battle royale genre is here to stay, and it has turned into a veritable money-printing machine for the ex-Gears of War developer.
While there are now countless battle royale games available, including
Call of Duty: Warzone and
Apex Legends, there was a time when Fortnite and
PUBG were the only two major titles competing for the crown. Both of these games have seen immense success, but Fornite has seen far more success than PUBG in the West.
Fortnite has an extremely unusual anti-cheat system, but it just might be one of the most successful because of that. Essentially, Fortnite runs two anti-cheat programs (and they’re two of the biggest ones): Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye. Players cannot choose which of the anti-cheat programs they run.
By arbitrarily selecting the anti-cheat system used by players, Epic Games tries to ensure that it’s as difficult as possible to run cheats in their game. For a Fortnite hack to be reliably used by the entirety of the game’s user base, it will need to be able to circumvent the measures put in place by both Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye.
